Voorstelling: Friday 9 May 20:15 | KH 2 + 3

Hsiao Wan has her heart set on becoming a model, but her father has other ideas and is grooming her to take over the family catering business. Years later, and up to her neck in debt, Wan finds two strange men at her door, demanding she pay back the money she owes them.

Wan runs home to her mother, who still works as a caterer. Her mother is not the most gifted cook and when a special request for traditional dishes come in, she turns it down. Wanting to prove herself, Wan takes on the job herself. To pull it off successfully, she enlists the help of the handsome Gourmet Doctor.

With the debt collectors on their heels, Wan and her mother decide to enter a cooking contest with a significant cash prize. Meanwhile, the Gourmet Doctor teaches them a host of new techniques.

Zone Pro Site: The Moveable Feast pays homage to Taiwanese culinary tradition, making it not only an entertaining rom-com but a sumptuous visual feast.

Director Chen Yu-Hsun made the film 16 years after leaving the film business. The food comedy was a huge hit in Taiwan, with some fans going to see it more than ten times. Fun fact: ‘Zone Pro site’ is pronounced 'zong pu shi' in Taiwanese, which translates roughly as master banquet chef.

Zone Pro Site: The Moveable Feast has been selected for the FFF Feature-Length Food Film Competition 2014.
