Bycatch is a comic anecdote about the amount of bycatch unintentionally caught in fishing nets for each plate of fish. In less than a minute, the film underscores both the need to debate fishing methods and the scale of the problem.
The short is made by Jaap & Kasper Filmproducties.
Bijvangst will have its world premiere at the Food Film Festival and has been selected for the FFF Short Food Film Competition 2014. Bijvangst will be screened prior to the documentary Salmon Confidential.
