Agnes’ perfect life is turned upside down when she is fired from the restaurant where she works and dumped by her boyfriend on the same day. She has little more to lose when the chance to open her own restaurant comes along.

Agnes is helped by her oddball friends and parents, from whom she inherited her love of food and cooking. Despite the support, however, the restaurant gets off to a disastrous start. What she needs is a good review from one of the city’s toughest restaurant critics. But how do you know who is behind the pseudonyms used by the local food writers?

Love and Lemons is a culinary comedy based on the Swedish bestseller SmÃ¥ citroner gula (‘small yellow lemons’) by writer Kajsa Ingemarsson. A wonderful feel-good film about the simple ingredients that we often overlook in the hustle and bustle of daily life. A must-see for anyone who loves food films and (secretly) romantic comedies. That would be everyone, then.

Love and Lemons has been selected for the FFF Feature-Length Food Film Competition 2014.

Love and Lemons op zaterdag is uitverkocht. Voor de vertoning op zondag zijn wel nog tickets.
