Eleven-year-old Brechtje Jans lives on a pig farm. There’s plenty of space to play, but Brechtje is unhappy. She thinks pigs are disgusting and meat even more so. She dreams of living in Amsterdam, where she can shop all day.

Even so, Brechtje helps out on the farm. She cleans the pigsties and helps her older brother tag the piglets, which she knows will one day be sent to the butcher. She doesn’t understand why her brother wants to take over the farm – she can’t bear the monotony.

Little Miss Piggy is part of the Pigs shorts block and has been selected for the FFF Shorts Food Film Competition 2014.
