Food Film Festival puts goat back on the menu!

The Food Film Festival Restaurant opens this Friday and the menu created by chefs Joris Bijdendijk and Samuel Levie has just been announced. It is full of tasty dishes: from fish to goat, lots of vegetables and even a vegan option.

Take, for example, the starter of ceviche of mackerel with beetroot and soya vinaigrette, main of spelt with braised kohlrabi, goat's milk hangop and hazelnuts, and dessert of panna cotta with lemon and basil sorbet. All the dishes are inspired by our ideas about good, clean and fair food, and they taste (we've tried them) insanely delicious. There are a lot of Dutch vegetables grown by well-known farmers, less common cuts of meat and above all a good story.

For instance, we will also be serving goat's milk. The Netherlands is full of goats that are primarily reared for their milk. The billy goats are destroyed or transported to Spain or Italy – countries where they do eat goat’s meat. Why don't we eat goat? Our organic goat's meat suppliers wants to change that. Their animals have been allowed to roam freely and the meat is tender and flavourful. Together with these farmers, we are putting goat back on the menu!

The restaurant opens on Friday 22 March at 12.00. You can't reserve, but let one of the servers know when you arrive and we will seat you as soon as possible. Download a PDF of the menu here.
