FFF programme online!

FFF programme online!

Over the past few weeks we’ve been hard at work putting together a fantastic festival programme. The result is three packed days of the best documentaries and Q&As, the coolest workshops and thought-provoking talk shows on today’s hottest topics.

This year, the food portion of the festival has been expanded with food trucks, a bigger, better artisanal market and a unique collaboration with Restaurant Bridges. And every time we thought it couldn’t get any better, we added another event or big name to the line-up.

We will be bringing a taste of Nordic cuisine to Amsterdam with Ben Reade of the Nordic Food Lab, the research institute of the leading Danish restaurant Noma. Other guests include New York Times columnist Mark Bittman, Slow Food founder Carlo Petrini and writer Carolyn Steel. The Netherlands is also strongly represented by Johannes van Dam, top chef Sergio Herman’s team, Niven Kunz and many more.

The film programme is more topical than ever. There are three world premieres, a European premiere and a whopping 14 Dutch premieres, including the opening film Canned Dreams (Katja Gauriloff, Finland, 2011) and Make Hummus Not War (Trevor Graham, Australia, 2012).

The theme of this year’s Great Debate is genetic modification, a subject that raises as many questions as emotions. With guests such as ethicist Frans Brom (Rathenau Institute), the Great Debate will focus on why GMO ignites such heated debate.

But enough talk; study the programme, decide what you want to see, do and taste, and buy your tickets online from 27 February!
