New logo for FFF2013

New logo for FFF2013

Food isn't only an inspiration for us, but for many artists and designers as well. Every year it is a challenge to pick the perfect logo from all the great options out there. For 2013 we selected a beautiful image by paper designer Alexis Facca.

Tomatoes by Alexis Facca
The Food Film Festival encourages people to look at food differently. Film is a powerful medium to accomplish this, but art and design also offer great ways to see the world in a new light. The expo is thus an important part of the festival and we choose our logo with great care. The first, in 2011, was designed by Cuppen & Spierings, who gave us the famous chioggia beetroot. In 2012, we chose the wonderful artichoke man by Swedish photographer Carl Kleiner. Both cheerful, eye-catching and inspired by food. For 2013, our search for a worthy successor quickly led us to the striking paper designs by Frenchman Alexis Facca. Over the coming months, you will see these happy tomatoes frequently on our website, flyers and posters.

Paperdonut
There are few things that Alexis hasn't folded. He has made an entire breakfast out of paper, for example, a wind farm and even a paper hamburger. We fell instantly in love with these sweet, red tomatoes, but be sure to check out his website, paperdonut.com, for more of his paper creations.

Expo
Keep an eye on this website for more art and design news. We will announce our complete programme on 21 February, which will include details of our art programme.
