Third FFF expands in Oost
Since its launch in 2011, the Food Film Festival has never failed to attract enough visitors (touch wood). That's why we are expanding the third edition to additional locations in Oost.
Like the first two editions, the third edition of the Food Film Festival will take place in Studio/K in Amsterdam-Oost. With two cinema screens, a theatre, large terrace and – importantly – a good-sized restaurant, it is the perfect festival location.
In previous years films sometimes sold out quickly, and so this year we are adding to the number of screenings. And since we more or less reached Studio/K's maximum capacity in 2012, we needed an alternative. Studio/K is part of the Kriterion Foundation and so the solution was obvious: this year, the Food Film Festival will also screen films in Kriterion cinema. That means almost twice as many cinema seats.
The festival's capacity will also be increased by making additional use of Timorplein, which offers more space for more producers of good, tasty food. We will also organise more workshops and activities in the direct vicinity of Studio/K. Cybersouk will again be the place to go for enticing tasting and cooking workshops (potentially also with a new location), and activities will be held in the Indische Buurt's Public Library.
